3 weeks vacation!

I decided to take 3 weeks without pay this summer to spend time with Kyanne. How am I going to do this??? Simple! I have no plan lol! I requested the leave, eventually got approved and then... we'll just go with the flow. :)

I could of arranged for Renée and Amanda to take care of Kyanne while daycare was closed for 2 weeks, but I decided that I was the one that I wanted Kyanne to remember when she grows up that she was with mommy during summer vacation. I want to enjoy our mornings like last summer during my parental leave. I want her, not to feel rushed in the mornings. These are precious moments that I need to be present for.

So story is that Victor agreed that I can stay home for 3 weeks without pay, but he ask me if I had a plan. I said yes I have a plan. We are going to have fun, go to the beach, go see our friends, make bon fires, stay out late...

I guess that's not what he meant. He wanted to know if we could afford it. So technical. Like I told my good friend the other day, when it comes to the end of the month and I have to pay my credit card, I pray my angels that we find money to pay all our bills. So far its working. :)

My plan is not really a plan. I just wake up each morning and live! No I did not save up for this but I have faith and I know it's going to work out.

Day 1 - July 29, 2013
Appointment day! Kyanne had an appointment at the Osteopath and Allergy clinic. We had some time to spare in between our appointments so I brought her to Crystal Palace to go in a few rides since it was not nice out. I had some coupons from last time so all it cost me was a coffee at Starbucks. After our last appointment, I decided to bring her to Centennial Park to see the ducks. Kyanne got a bit scared when one of the ducks was following us. We had such a wonderful day just the 2 of us! She was pleasant. We then stopped at my friend Suzanne to say hi! It felt so relax to be able to be able to do whatever we felt like whenever. Life is good!

My friends and I had a course on Meditation. My hairdresser gave us a beginner course that I really enjoyed. Perfect timing to start my vacation and be in total relax mode!

Oh! I kind of told my husband that I would do activities that would not cost during my time off work. I had also told myself that I would not use my Visa at all. So... I guess I'm not perfect. Visa is going to have to stay for the 3 weeks. I would not be able to survive.

Purchases for the day:
  • Starbuck Coffee juice, banana bread $8
  • Meditation Course $40
I think I did pretty good for my first day!
